About SkateTested

A skate setup is a set of choices that work together: deck width and truck width, wheel size and hardness for the surface, bearings, and for skates, boot fit and frame or plate. SkateTested explains how those parts interact and compares gear on them.

We cover skateboarding, longboarding and cruising, roller skating, inline skating, and protective gear. Bikes and scooters belong to BikeTested and snowboards to SnowTested. Wear a certified helmet; no gear makes falling safe.
